Also a problem with some fonts on the Amiga in 3.5SA, btw.
Having bought a few CD-ROM's featuring fonts, as well as other
things, on GP's, I find myself looking at the "Not a Type 1 font"
error message now & again.

Tried that, and while TS will load 'em, and convert from TrueType
to *.pfb, sometimes that doesn't help...I get that
above-mentioned error note then as well. Does anyone know if
there are specific Modeler things relevant to PostScript Type 1
that only load some kinds or whatever? It doesn't even appear to
be dependent on the relative complexity of the fonts in question,
as some of the simpler ones don't load and some nightmarishly
complex ones do.
